Teddy-bear

She reaches out,
her soulmate nowhere to be found
Her heart aching to feel his touch
Silent cry, why can't he be here?
Oh how I love him

She suddenly remembers
the teddy-bear her soulmate gave her
Cuddling with the bear isn't the same
as being in his arms but
with promises of dreams of him
She wraps the teddy-bear in her arms and
drifts off to a peaceful sleep

Bridge To Freedom

I have a choice to make
Will it be the right one?
This is scary
I can stand here and watch my dreams break like glass or
I cross the bridge to freedom armed with the faith in my heart and
His praise on my lips

I choose to cross this bridge
One step at a time
Here I go

the light you lived by
You made me feel my eyes were
more beautiful than the stars shining
against the dark of night
Most of all you made me feel a love
I've only felt once
A love most like a mother could give
