visions of sugarplum ferries would find their way into her head
She dreamed she was a ballerina dancing
yet seeming to float effortlessly on air
the joyous music of this time of year filling the space around her
Oh my, where a child’s imagination can take one
She loved the magical wonder of the season so much
she’d wish time would freeze like the snow
Now the snow is falling the fire crackling but
the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with is still missing
Instead of the sugarplum ferries of Christmases past
she’s dreaming of finding her love under the mistletoe
As she sees his smiling face in her mind’s eye
she wonders if her mistletoe dreams will ever come true
