Talking in Her Sleep

It’s just after midnight
She’s talking again to whom they wonder
for now only God knows 
What could be causing this much chatter on her part?
Could it be stress do to her being unable to express herself at times?
As a matter of fact her sleep is one of the only places
she allows herself to feel the emotions she’s kept
bottled up throughout her day
They think she’s having another late night chat with her man
so they do their best to ignore her

Yet when she continues talking they come to
her room to see what’s wrong
They ask and she tells them anything
they want to know
She’s unaware of the fruits she spills
while talking in her sleep
Things she’d never say in daylight

If you’ve been hurt by what you’ve heard from her
while she’s talking in her sleep
she now offers her deepest apologies
Yet if you don’t want to know what she really thinks
don’t ask while she’s talking in her sleep
