If you’ve watched the news as much as she has lately
You’d notice young children are becoming angels
getting wings far too soon
Tears are flowing from hearts that
just can’t begin to understand why
The people who love these angels would
betray them so completely not
even seeming to care
Children aren’t suppose to know
what worry even is but as
she’s seen all too often they are well aware
yet these angels could have futures brighter
than they’ll ever dare to dream
If only if someone were there to be a voice for them
maybe then God’s innocence might know
the joys this life can really bring
I wonder if He ever stops to shed tears
of sadness for His miracles who didn’t ask
for this twist of fate
Shedding tears like she finds herself
doing a lot of these days
If God’s innocence are gifts to be cherished
that’s what should be done
