She had no idea an ordinary afternoon swim in her family pool
could turn into an event she won't soon forget
The water gave her a sense of freedom unlike any she'd ever felt
A freedom that made her feel weightless and carefree
Little did she know the water she loved so much
was about to show her that guardian angels
really do exist
She swam to the side of the pool
tried to grab on and fell
backward into the water, because
she had tired herself out
She tried to fight her way to the surface
soon realizing by fighting against the water
she was making it harder for loved ones to reach her
Suddenly she saw a familiar face
flash across her minds eye
She then heard a voice
A voice so clear she no longer heard
the splashing of the water surrounding her
The voice said,
"Don't panic just relax."
She did as the voice told her and
was pulled out of the water
Before falling asleep that night
she thanked God for her guardian angel and
asked Him if she should thank her guardian angel herself
for saving her life
Even if he didn't know what he'd done
A few days later she told her guardian angel
the whole thing and thanked him
for saving her life
Not realizing at the time
how her experience would
forever inspire him
