The Smallest Act Can Make the Biggest Difference

Back in her days of young she had a friend
A friend who faced battles she
can only hope and pray she never has to fight
She watched as her friend got blindsided by
and rallied time and time again
against an opponent they got to know all too well
An opponent better known as leukemia

She spent some time sitting by her friend’s
bedside lost and silently asking herself
as well as God, what can I do?
At times it seemed as if she might never find the answer
she desperately searched for

Then one day a few years after
her friend moved away she found the
answer that once eluted her
She found it in an advertisement
for Lockes of Love
She vowed right then and there that
every time she got her long lockes cut
She’d donate them in memory of their friendship
to be used in the making of wigs for those suffering from
leukemia and other forms of Cancer

She hopes their story will inspire
others to follow in her footsteps
Take it from her the feeling she gets
after donating her hair is
like a high she can’t explain
After all the smallest act can
make the biggest difference
